Yes, it was a correct call I suppose, and all the ref can do is understand the rule book and enforce it.
The rule itself is ridiculous. The play stops once a player comes in contact with the out of bounds turf, yet the this particular play is extended because we have to see if the player maintained possession after he fell. If it is determined that he has possession, with a foot in bounds, then it should be a catch.
I have a similar problem with the whole 'football move' rule in the NFL. To determine if a receiver has possession of the football, he must make a 'football move' after making the reception. Yet, on the sideline, no such criterion exists. Why does determination of possession have to change depending on what side of the field you are on.

I agree.
The point is that the day of, or immediately after we all feel differently than we do several months later.
No one should still be blaming the refs for any game this year.

While I maintain that the officiating was fine, I still think that we should leave the Big XII for the Big 10.
